Doctora Honoris Causa

Woman of The Bicentenario 2024

I am deeply honored to express my sincere gratitude to Fundación Pro Bono Perú, Universidad Jaime Bausate y Meza, the Lima branch of the National Association of Journalists, Escuelas Bicentenario CCMP - Cámara de Comercio de Mujeres Peruanas, the Congress of the Republic of Peru, the United Nations Global Compact, Legado Warmi, and MD. Diana Sustainability for nominating me for the esteemed Doctora Honoris Causa—the highest Bicentennial award in Peru.

This recognition as a "Woman of the Bicentenario" celebrates the work I have undertaken in Peru and internationally to raise awareness of critical issues in mental health, education, and healthcare. It acknowledges the contributions and impact made during Peru's historic 200th-anniversary celebrations.

This achievement would not have been possible without the mentorship, guidance, and support of the incredible individuals I have had the privilege to collaborate with. Their unwavering encouragement has been instrumental in shaping this journey, and I am proud to share this honor with them.

This award is a profound reminder to remain steadfast in the pursuit of equality, inclusion, and justice—values that I hope will shape the world our children inherit. As I shared during my speech last month, I am committed to working alongside you to build upon the legacy our ancestors have left us.

Together, we can create a future where, 200 years from now, generations to come will continue to celebrate the progress we envision today.
